w-still life #2: cat’s favorite table is part of the w-still life series of works that are made solely using washi tape on paper to create representations of daily life objects, while simultaneously questioning what makes a still life and what a still life has to look like.

The set out problem for this still life was to create a work with objects that are made of wood, metal, glass and plastic. The goal was to represent these objects and their material context through washi tapes with designs that matched the color, shadows, light, texture appearance, or material temperature while simultaneously making the different patterns coexist without clashing.
