w-still life #3 blues-m is part of the w-still life series of works that are made soley using washi tape on paper to create representations of daily life objects, while simultaneously questioning what makes a still life and what a still life has to look like.

The set out problem for this still life was to work with a monochromatic pallet while manipulating the tapes in a manner that the patterns represent the materials, textures, shadows and light. The additional goal was to also cut, place and use the tape to give directionality and form to fabric.
